Nico and Dean, the Marl Brothers

Dean inhaled deeply and appreciatively, rolling the smoke around his mouth before exhaling gently and regarding the glowing tip of his cigar as if it contained all the answers to all the questions in the universe...

The crash of falling masonry and his brother Nico yelling for him to get up and start blasting snapped him out of his reverie and back to his day job - shooting the people Luthor told him to shoot. Life could be worse, eh?

The brothers from the front (Dean on the left with the stogie):

And from the rear - those pouches are full of rolling baccy:

Group shot so far, ready for some enhanced bartering:

I'm pretty pleased with the ensemble effect and will hopefully be able to finish the other three (who are fairly well advanced WIP) by Thursday so I can go and play pretendy-fun-space-games with some of the other OGRE lads on Friday, chez Erny. I am slightly concerned that never having played a laser gun game (except Space Hulk) before might hamper my otherwise inevitable victory...

I'll let you know how it goes,

Rab

  1. With just the two, I wasn't taken by them. Then the group shot - they look superb!

The Guilder/Trader ties them together and the cyborg's yellow promotes him above his orange comrades.

Excellent job Mister Rab, just sad I can't join you all for the game.

    1. I know what you mean - they're just grunts and need the group setting to bring them together. I've deliberately chosen one colour from the trader's rather garish outfit for each sub-group. The beastmen will have green armour plates, and the rather awesome robot I picked up from Oathsworn last week will be mostly yellow.

    3. OK I can see where I got confused. I'd suggested the 7th but was also considering the 8th. Then Mister Rab here asked if I'd settled on the 6th or the 7th so in my head the 6th had become the Saturday. Not blaming anyone but me, I got confused.
So the actual date I have free is Satruday the 7th I hope you can make it, otherwise I'll just have to rearrange things for another time.

    4. Ah. Oh dear. I should have asked about day rather than date, shouldn't I - too easy to be at cross purposes otherwise. I might not be able to make it but I'll be able to let you know tomorrow.

    5. I was explaining my mix up not excusing it...lesson learned for next time.

Really hope you can make it but understand if I've messed you about a bit and things don't pan out.

    6. Honestly, mate, don't worry! If I can be there, I will; if not, there's always next time... and I might even know the rules by then! :)

  6. Nice group shot. Why did the hex bases ever go out of style? I think they look great.

    1. Your guess is as good as mine! It allows rules where facing is important as well. I guess people don't know what's good for them -sigh-

      ;)
