Eleven from eleven

Normally I'm a pretty slow painter. I take ages to get the basics done on a figure, then get frustrated at how long it's taking and wind up bodging the last bits... So, it was a pleasant surprise this morning when it came up in a meeting that it was the eleventh week of the year and I realised I've painted eleven figures already! One for each week so far! I wonder if I can keep up the pace?

The eleventh figure, by the way, is this lovely Spacelords "Phagon Beastman" sculpt who will be leading the little band of anthropomorphic goats with laser guns in my Rogue Trader's retinue. When I finish the next four (currently WIP), I've got some blether to share about how I see them in the RT universe, organisation, and the like. Until then, here's the photo:

    I've got a whole heard if these billy goats based up & painted in base colours.....been like that for a couple of years now! Maybe I should get off my butt & finish them?

    They really are great looking minis aren't they? Looking forward to seeing yours completed :)

      Yes, yes you should get them finished - they're worth it. Such luvverly little sculpts, even nicer than the human figures they make.

    Well, what a productive year so far ! A real treat to see such beautiful models come out of your workshop. Really looking forward to your backstory for these guys.

      So because I painted up my gang of twelve orlocks and two hirelings in a week does that mean I have two spare weeks?

      It could do... but do you want to squander an early lead so soon into the year? Risky!

      I'd like to see how you treat a batch of these fellows and Doug is doing old-school miniature-lovers a great service getting them back into production - so go give him your money!

      So far in 2015 I've managed about 1500pts of High Elves, 10 Empire Crossbowmen, a Grey Wizard, 5 Pistoliers, 8 Reiksguard, 13 Escher, 8 Cawdor, a Ratskin, a Bounty Hunter and 2 Pit Slaves.

      Think I may of earned a painting break......................................................
