Not much hobby output from myself at the moment - a combination of heavy workload and putting my time into whipping Knights' Quest into shape - so I'm handing over this post to promoting the sort of thing I'd be doing if I could sculpt; a slightly fantastical C14th England, complete with the sort of monsters found in the margins of medieval manuscripts. Sound familiar? Yup, it has exactly
the vibe I'm going for in Knights' Quest and I can see these figures being perfect for it, as well as for the skirmish game that Michael Lovejoy (the sculptor - I think he's half of the team behind Oathsworn Miniatures) is working on.
Some of the greens:
And a painted pair - isn't that creature straight out of a medieval manuscript. Good to see how nicely the figures paint up.
So, if you want to find out more and to keep an eye on Michael Lovejoy's progress (and I certainly will be), click on the picture below to go and see what his grand master plan is, along with several more greens.
That is one strange looking little critter.ReplyDelete
I know! Perfect, eh?Delete
Now we need to figure out a name for it. And a background. Or maybe its a cursed man?Delete
With a hunch like that, he's got to be called "Richard"Delete
Background? Cursed, definitely.
I love the second green sculpt, a really dynamic pose.ReplyDelete
That's my favourite (human) figure on his site so far, but the retainer with mace, shield and padded coif does it for me as well.Delete
