Painted... thing...

The demon progress continues. I've stuck with the purple/yellow/blue scheme that was my initial inspiration and am fairly close to being done. All that's left are the knee straps (probably yellow), spike on right hand (dirty brassy-gold) and chain around right ankle (also dirty brassy-gold). The photo has made the skin-tone and hooves look rather blotchy so I'll be checking this evening whether that is true (and adding a blending glaze to fix it) or just my poor photo skills.

What do you think to the beast so far?

Now for a name for the... thing...

Rab

  1. I feel like I'm giving away my best material here but, how about 'GerBlorrflaa-arrghn'

I just thought it flowed nicely.

    1. Bless you! Oh, sorry, thought you'd sneezed!

That's the kind of name I'm after, though, and will be the temporary name at least. Thanks :)

    1. Thanks - early 90s rat ogres are my favourite iteration of the beasts.

  3. I guess some oldhammer adventurers dig up a 'metallic sky ship' while digging in the artic north. Over time it thaws and the adventures find out it can take on the form of the people it assimulates. Can they find and destroy the monster before the next suppy ship arrives after the winter storms and it escapes to the 'New world'.

    1. The Oldhammer Thing - of course! What an amazing scenario suggestion... Aaagh - mind fizzing with ideas... Obviously I'll need some Norse, maybe some Kislevites... Hmm, it might work better as a WFRP game...

      Thanks riot ville!

  4. I recognize the face....I think I have that model tucked away somewhere. Looks very much daemon prince make your own pantheon thing from the realm of chaos books. Might I suggest a randomly generated chaos god name?

    1. Thanks daveb - the face is the head from a Marauder forest goblin spider. You know, I've never used that name generator, but I'll give it a go.
